Create-a-Play (1)
Ages 9-12
June 27-July 1 2 pm to 5 pm $139
There are many copy cats, but this is the
original! Students create a play, rehearse it,
and
perform it at the week’s end. Think that's
impossible? Campers have been doing this for
years. Sometimes it’s poignant, sometimes
silly, but always a hit! Theme, Structure,
Story,
Conflict, Resolution, and Outrageous fun.
Writing is not a requisite and no prior acting
needed

Guerrilla (Street) Theater for Teens
Ages 13-19
July 25- July 29, 6 pm-7:30 pm $119
Expect the unexpected! I’m always surprised
at the outcome. This is the only camp like
this in
the world. The group decides what is called a
‘mission’. (That's not my word but a street
theater term). The mission can be anything
the group decides. The students make all the
decisions of what the mission will be. Past
missions have gotten this legendary camp on
the pages of both local newspapers. This camp
has sold Organic Air at the Farmers Market and
set up a complete living room downtown among
others. ALL ideas are from the students.
Emphasis on conceptual development and
creative risk. Joey is a guide on the side. No
prior
acting necessary. The mission created in the
camp is done on Saturday at no extra fee.

Improv
Adults
August 15-19, 6 pm to 8 pm, $129
Improv is very easy (and fun) if you know the
secret. This class is designed for the
beginning
to intermediate actor and filled with the
best, fun, non-competitive improv activities.
This camp
is based on the work of Viola Soplin, the
modern inventor of improv and this style is
performed by troupes across the world. This
also introduces, and explores the technique
known as, ‘yes, and...’. No experience
necessary, but feel free to advance your skill
if you've

Drama Bugs
Ages 5-8 years
July 5-8, 10 am to 11:30 am, $99
ANYTHING is possible, and often happens!
Story play, adventures, and fun, instructional
non-
competitive improv games are the staple of
this class. One time, several years ago,
during
one such play, a camper was being a tree, and
stayed that way until it was time for him to
leave. Actually, he stayed in that position
for a few minutes after it was time! Awesome
fun
with an eye towards education. Culminates
with a workshop performance at week’s end.
